Liberation & Learning Trek
Andean culture holds many places of deep magic and energy. One of them is the great Apu Ausangate, the principal Apu of the Cusco region, considered since ancestral times to be the healing Apu. On this journey we will walk its slopes and learn about its energy and its magical surroundings.
Transfer from the airport to the Sacred Valley. In the afternoon, a presentation ceremony and cycle-opening, preparation of a despacho offering, and a fire ceremony.
Conversation with shamans about the Apus and the Pachamama. In the afternoon we visit Ñaupa Iglesia, where we'll have time to meditate and connect with the site.
In the morning we head to Pumamarca for a ceremony to Mother Earth and the Apus, followed by a picnic and time to meditate and connect with the place.
An early departure to the Ollantaytambo train station, then on to Aguas Calientes to visit Machu Picchu: its temples, water fountains, palaces and agricultural sector. We return to the hotel that night.
We set off toward the great Apu Ausangate. In the afternoon, a liberation ceremony.
Conversation with the shamans and learning about kuyas, plus a body cleansing with sacred smoke. In the afternoon, a connection ceremony with the great Apu.
A kuya cleansing and closing ceremony to bid farewell to the great Apu. We arrive back in Cusco in the late afternoon.
A conversation about what we've learned. In the afternoon, a cycle-closing ceremony, followed by a fire ceremony to close the journey.
